Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Recently had a knee mri and the impression showed inner margin fraying at lateral meniscus body. Subtle undersurface tearing at the junction of the medial meniscus posterior horn and body.Mild medial and patellofemoral compartment chrondrosis.Small joint effusion. Small popliteal cyst. Can you explain this in laymans terms.Thank you.
I have gone through the MRI report you have mentioned. It is suggestive of ligamental injury. You will need arthroscopic surgery to fix the ligamental tear.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
