Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Can you mention your symptoms, and why a scanning was ordered?

The report says there is a cyst of significant size (fluid collection) in left part of liver. This can be caused by conditions like liver abscess(bacterial or amoebic infection), parasitic infections or neoplasms. Also there is a small cyst in left kidney also. Whether both these are related or not, and the probable cause of the liver cyst depends on detailed clinical picture. Your doctor will discuss in detail.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
