What Does This MRI Test Result Indicate?

Please help me understand my mri results. I have many of the smyptoms that are associated with MS. So my doctor ordered MRI s. A year ago the mass on my cerebellum appeared. And a year later it s still there and hasn t changed. I ve been diagnosed as having possible MS T8-T9: Small right paracentral disc protrusion, T6-T7: Small left paracentral disc protrusion but without significantcentral spinal stenosis or neural foraminal narrowing. There is a single nonspecific 3 mm focus of T2 hyperintensesignal within the left cerebellar white matter. The remainder of thebrain parenchyma is normal. There is no mass, mass effect, extra-axialfluid collection, hydrocephalus or midline shift. The diffusion andgradient echo sequences are normal. There is no pathologicalenhancement.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The MRI report indicates paracentral disc protrusion which can provide various backache, nerve compression symptoms to lower limb and some cases with bladder, bowel control disturbances. The cerebellar tumor has many more outcomes as postural or gait disturbances, ataxia, nystagmus, vision problems and others depending upon the site, size, extent and other features of the same. However, if the symptoms of current problems are narrated bit precisely, one can co relate further on clinical grounds better way.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
