I recently had an MRI done. My doctor is out of town for the next 10 days. I was wondering if based on the results listed below should there be reason for concern. The major problems I have is numbness in arms and legs. Also nerve damage in the bottom of both my feet. FINDINGS: There is a mild degree of reversal or normal cervical lordosis without spondylolisthesis. Mild discogenic marrow changes are seen at the C5, C6, and superior C7 levels. No fracture or suspicious marrow replacing process identified. The visualized posterior fossa structures and cervicocranial junction demonstrate no abnormality. Allowing for mild degree of motion-related artifact, there are no convincing findings of cervical cord myelopathy demonstrated. No edema, demyelination, mass, or syrinx are detected. C2-3: There is asymmetric left facet arthropathy without significant central canal or neural foraminal stenosis. C3-4: Bilateral facet arthropathy is present, right greater than left, with mild right neural foraminal encroachment. The central canal and left neural foramen are patent. C4-5: There is bilateral facet arthropathy, left greater than right, with probable bilateral neural foraminal stenosis, left greater than right. No central canal stenosis is identified. C5-6: There is broad posterior osteophytic ridge and disc complex as well as facet hypertrophy resulting in effacement of the ventral thecal sac. There appears to be a mild degree of left paracentral cord deformity at this level. Mild left and borderline right neural foraminal encroachment is present at this level. The C6-7 level demonstrates borderline central canal stenosis with mild left neural foraminal encroachment. The C7-T1 level demonstrates no additional findings. IMPRESSION: 1. C5-6 central canal stenosis resulting in left paracentral ventral cord deformity. 2. Multilevel neural foraminal encroachment, as detailed above.
