Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my ophthalmologist recently reviewed an OCT test which explored possible vitreal detachment issues that threaten the retina by creating traction.. looking for retinal tear or retinal detachment. he reported that there was shallowing in the fovia... .what does this imply?
Thanks for consulting. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
retina is the back side potion of the eye which has the sensor for the light that is entering the eye. it gets damaged some times which cause blurring of vision and also visual disturbances.
the retina in the report is damaged and has to be treated. or will result in damage to the vision of the person.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
Best Regards! Dr. Arunmozhi varman
