What Does This PAP Smear Report Indicate?

PAP smear report : Shows superficial and intermediate squamous epithelial cells along with sheets of endocervical columnar cells over the plenty of neutrophilic background. The report is negative but still would like to know what the above examination means. Kindly explain Doctor.

I understand your concern.
As you have not mentioned any symptoms, I consider that you have no complaints and had your pap smear as routine examination.
As you have mentioned that the report showed squamous epithelial cells and columnar cells without any abnormality in them and neoplastic changes, so the report is normal.
These cells are normally found in pap smear. But you should continue your pap smear test for every three years or as suggested by your doctor. This will help in making early diagnosis of Cervical carcinoma.
