What Does This PET Scan After Having Chemotherapy Indicate?

I am currently being treated for nodular lymphocytic predominant Hodgkin s lymphoma with chemotherapy, have had 3 treatments, scheduled to have 3 more. An updated PET showed activity in my liver is somewhat heterogeneous without a discrete lesion. Is this concerning?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am afraid, the hepatic lesion in pet scan pattern suggests possible secondaries. These need to be investigated further and treated under expert oncologist earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
