Welcome to H.C.M.
My dear friend as per your given detail i suggest you to follow your doctor.he is correct. He is increasing dose to put your PT/INR level between 2 and 3.This level is safe to prevent any serious complication like stroke (if thrombus reach to brain) or others complicationb also .This treatment is for long time.Your doctor will follow your PT/INR and DOPPLER.No need to scared because it is curable.Only thing you should know is keep patience and follow your doctor strictly.
Thanx for query.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. INR levels needs to be maintained at a higher level in patients prone for thrombosis.
2. As you already had one thrombosis event in deep veins of leg, it could recurr.
3. You will require life long therapy as dislodged thrombus can get lodged in lungs or other organs and can be life threatening.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
