Hi Doctor , My Mothers pap smear result came: Cellular smear consisting of clusters as well as singly scattered parabasal cells and occasional superficial squamous cells.Background shows occasional inflammatory cells. Impression:Atrophic smear with mild inflammation. Could you please let me know if there is anything serious.
This Pap smear report is negative and does not show any malignant (cancer) cells.
Nothing much to worry and no definite treatment is required at present. You can do a follow-up smear after six months or one year as advised by your gynecologist.
