My mother s USG report diagonised (i) an illdefined elongated heterogenous SOL measuring 6.5x2.3cm superior to pancreas, (II) a big simple cortical cyst measuring approx 7.6x6.0cm at lower pole of left Kidney and a small cyst measuring 3.3x3.2cm at mid pole of right Kidney, (iii) a hypoechoic SOL with low level echoes measuring approx 3.2x1.6cm. in superficial tissue in epigastrium. Her age is 75 yrs. Kindly help me with details of problem with the above diagonisis.
Welcome to health care magic. The report suggest there is a lesion / mass seen in the pancreatic gland - features suggest malignant. There are cysts seen in the both kidneys in mentioned locations - bus as mentioned in report they are simple - which does not need any active action. Superficial collection - possible invective etiology - needs a FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology to evaluate the type of cells involved. In this case you need to get a contrast CT abdomen for better evaluation.
Thanks Dr. Ganesh.
