What Does This X-ray Report Indicate?

hello sir Today I had my PA X-ray. The report is as follows: * Bilateral hilar are prominent. *Lungs fields are clear. *Both domes of diaphragm and CP angles are normal. *No evidence of mediastinal shift is seen. *Cardiac size is normal. Can you please tell what my report diagnose. Is there is any abnormality in my report or something to worry?

Hi,

First of all, there is nothing to worry in this report.
This is a normal chest x-ray report which describes different areas of the chest and how they appear normally.
Bilateral hilar are prominent -- means the area between lungs is seen prominently on x-ray and is a normal finding usually. *Lungs fields are clear -- means your lungs do not show any abnormality. *Both domes of diaphragm and CP angles are normal -- means the partition between the chest and abdomen is normal. *No evidence of the mediastinal shift is seen -- means the central portion of the chest is in center and has not shifted to either side. *Cardiac size is normal -- means the size of your heart is normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jatin Bhatia, Radiation Oncologist
