Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just got the result of my x-ray and it reads, suspicious densities in the left upper lobe. heart is not enlarge. diaphragm and sulci are intact. no other remarkable findings. What does this mean? Does it mean I have a serious lung problem? I m feeling okay. please help me.
Hello, Thanks for posting in HCM. Lung opacities in upper zone can suggest it could be some infective etiology. IF you are experiencing cough, evening rise of temperature or any such symptoms kindly get a sputum examination done. Upper zone opacities are seen in infection with tuberculosis. But it could be something else and you might not be having any infection also. It will be best advisable to consult a pulmonologist with your x-ray report for further examination and treatment if required. I hope I have answered your query well. If you have any more question kindly write back to me, will be happy to help you out. Thank you
