What Does This Abdominal Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?

an echogenic focus measured 7.5mm and 6mm in the mid calyceal system, suggestive of Nephrolithiasis..... this is the report of ultrasound . so what it means ? is there any health risks if the patient is Von Willi Brand type 1 patient also... what are the recommendations for that patient?

Hi,

The report indicates there is a small stone in your kidney. The best strategy would be to take more and more fluids as this stone may spell out itself.

Up to 7 mm of stone can go out itself though the site that you have the stone may be a bit difficult but still possible. Stone may cause pain, infection or sometimes obstruction.

You may talk to a urologist who may better advise you a way forward.
