What Does This Anomaly Scan Report Indicate?

dear doctor., I am 22 weeks pregnant.has my detail anomaly scan yesterday.baby is doing fine but the report says loose loop cord around baby neck.it also says sub amniotic placental collection seen at cord insertion site.i am worried about the report.

Welcome to Health care magic.

1. Anomaly scan is done between 18-22weeks, where every aspect of the foetus will be seen throughly. As at this time all the anatomical structures are well seen with adequate amniotic fluid.
2.Loop of chord around the neck might go off as foetus moves actively at this age, possibilities to remain also there.
3.Sub amniotic placental collection - needs attention, this condition is seen due to the haematoma / bleed where the chord is inserted.
4.This condition along with the chord around the neck need good followup scans.
5.Reduce active moments, take good bed rest, avoid working hard.
6.Suggest foetal doppler study at 30 weeks to assess the blood supply. Good luck.
