My mother s autopsy showed primary diagnoses: .Conjunctival petechiae .Rib and sternal fractures .Unilateral pulmonary edema .Unilateral pulmonary collapse She was an active 95 yr old. Her neighbor found her with her chest of drawers across her body. Can you explain these diagnoses, and please tell me how much suffering might have been involved? Thank you for your time, Bonnie Dimaio YYYY@YYYY
It shows that likely cause of trauma to the chest causing ribs fracture as well as sternal or chest bone fracture compressing on one lung causing damage to lung and difficulty breathing may have caused fatal complications.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
