I had an ultrasound done that said my kidneys measured (r)9.0x4.2x4.6cm and (l)9.3x4.7x5.2 and demonstrates an upper pole cyst measuring 2.5x2.8 cm. Also my liver is slightly heterogenous in echogenicity and an 8mm cyst in the right lobe of the liver. Should I be alarmed about any of these results?
1.Both kidney measurements are with in the normal limits. 2.There is a cyst of 2.5cm in the left kidney upper pole, not described any findings in the cyst, so its called simple cyst. 3.Renal simple cyst will needs to be monitored - no active treatment needed. 4.And the heterogeneous echo-texture of the liver means there is some parenchyma liver disease / systemic liver pathology - which needs to correlated with the LFT - liver function test. And needful treatment. 5.About simple cyst in the right lobe no needs any active treatment. Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query. Any thing to ask do not hesitate. Thank you.
