General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Suggestive of the stage-II prostate cancer. Based on the given report you seem to be having prostate cancer stage IIa to IIb.

A Gleason score 3+4=7 tumor is small but may have an increasing risk of growing and spreading.

Perineural invasion means that cancer cells were seen surrounding or tracking along a nerve fiber within the prostate. When this is found on a biopsy, it means that there is a higher chance that the cancer has spread outside the prostate.

The spread of the tumor can be detected before surgery by means of lymph node biopsy, CT scan, bone scan, and PET scan.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
