What Does This Blood Pressure With History Of Chronic Chest Pain Indicate?
Hi I am a 79 year old female/I get tremendous chest panes for over 30 years/ NO diagnoses could be made so the doctor decided it was mussel spasms in the heart/the only thing to help was a shot of whisky in milk/but the last few days it has been getting worse so I decided to check my blood pressure at the time it was acting up/it was 69/49 is that O.K. or Not?
Welcome at HCM i have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.... Are u diabetic? Hypertensive? Any meds u are taking? Any other co morbidity? How is urine output and bowels? Smoker? The Bp which u have mentioned appears quite low fr your age. Are u checking it regularly? What is your average bp reading? Are u feeling any dizziness and vertigo with this? Chest discomfort in your age group can't be taken lightly. In my opinion you should see a doctor so that ECG and chest x ray can be done and proper management can be provided to u in time... Meanwhile stay calm and use juice with boiled eggs to catch up your bp and meet your doctor immediately. Get well soon Regards Dr Saad Sultan
