Hi & Welcome.
I appreciate your concern for your beloved husband.
As per the history given along with the lab tests, he seems to be suffering from
acute pancreatitis.
Once his general condition improves oral feeding should be introduced.
He can be initiated on a low-fat diet (maximum 20 g/day).
Eating boneless chicken breasts & most fish helps keep his meals low in fat.
High carbohydrates in are advised to eat small sized and more frequent meals (about 5 to 6 per day).
He should be given adequate oral fluids to keep him hydrated.
Clear liquids include apple, cranberry & white grape juice, gelatin and broth.
He should avoid alcohol or alcohol containing beverages,
smoking, coffee or caffeine containing soft drinks.
Hope the suggestions given above would enable him a speedy recovery.
Best wishes.
A feedback is appreciated.
