I am post menopausal and recently had blood work done that showed my ferritin level to be 214, red blood count to be 5.60, hemoglobin 17.0 and hemocritt 50.0. I am concerned there is something terribly wrong. My doctor told me to donate blood and it might fix itself. I also have high cholesterol that was at 274 I go back in three months to check my levels
