Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got my lab results - WBC 12.0 x 10E3/ul; Platelets 472 x 10E3/ul; and Neutrophiles 8.0 x 10E3/il. What do these values indicate may be going on with me? I m afraid I can t afford your fees as I live on $834/month Social Security. Are you able to provide me with a more affordable cost, please?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... According to your blood report you have increased white blood cells especially neutrophils are elevated in number. This indicate some recent bacterial infection (mainly pyogenic infection) in you. Neutrophils are also increased in any acute inflammation, so will be raised after a heart attack, other infarct or burns. Your platelets are also increased. This could occur after Acute blood loss, Allergic reactions, Exercise, Infections such as tuberculosis, Haemolytic anemia, etc. In this there is a much higher risk of clotting or bleeding complications. Therefore, it's important for your doctor to determine reason of such increase in platelets
Refer to a physician Hope this information helps
