Hello, my blood RDW-SD and Immature Granulocytes are high since April. What does that mean? Here are all results: Leukocytosis 8.3 Erythrocytosis 5.6 Hemoglobin 16.9 Hematocrit 49% MCV 88 MCH 30 MCHC 34.2 Blood platelets 198.0 RDW-SD 44.0 RDW-CV 13.9% PDW 15.0 MPV 11.0 P-LCR 36.4% PCT 0.2% Neutrophils 5.10 Lymphocytes 2.40 Monocytes 0.40 Eosinophils 0.29 Basophils 0.0 Immature Granulocytes 0.08 Immature Granulocytes 1%

Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows: 1. Your hemoglobin is high, possibly due to hypoxia. Chronic smoker, lung disorders or hilly areas are common cause. 2. Immature granulocytes of 1% is ok considering the normal WBC count and platelet count. 3. Increased RDW may be due presence of both normocytes and macrocytes. As your MCV is normal, it is not to be worried at present. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
