What Does This Blood Test Report Signify?

In reviewing my last lab report, I had the following : Serum kappa - 28.51 Kappa/lambda, free. 3.28 B2M - 3.22 Creat. 1.3 eGFR non-AFRAM. 43 eGFR AFRICAN 52 BUN. 25 Glucose. 153 MPV. 6.2 I am 72-years. Weigh 125 +/- White female, 5 4 Usual blood pressure 90-100/70. +/- This was included in a lab test 4/25/16 by my oncologist. I evidently have non-hitch kind lymphoma, but never manifested. I get tested once year & usuall a cat scan - no problem yet. These are the first high results I ve ever had. I m a snowbird to Florida. My oncologist is in Florida. This 5-month stretch was very hectic in that my husband & I down sized in NJ & bought bigger in Florida. I was very involved in moving, etc, & I did not schedule a follow-up visit. He had said if anything looked out of place, he would call me. His sec y did call me to make the appt, but, since Doctor didn t call personally, I dismissed it. I am back in NJ, in our down-sized home & finally took time to enroll in electronic lab report today. I was very surprised at these numbers. Do these rises indicate kidney problems? Jane

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Unfortunately your kidney function seems to be limited. You should definitely see a nephrologist. In nephrology, small changes in the lab results indicate big changes in organ function. So, don’t wait, talk to your GP or nephrologist, first thing in the morning.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
