What Does This Blood Test Result For Abscess In Big Toe Indicate?

I developed an abscess on my big toe for which I am being treated. I have a titanium implant that caused the abscess and it must be removed. I went for presurgical testing. All blood work was normal except the eosinophils, absolute which was 577. Can this be caused by the infection.

Hi, I understand your concern. I can see that you have elevated eosinophil count. there are various causes of elevated eosinophil which includes:
Allergic disease
Parasite infection, such as worms
Certain fungus infections
Asthma
Autoimmune diseases
Eczema
Hay fever.
