What Does This Blood Test Result For Fever Indicate?

My 8 year old daughter has had fever for 5 full days. Her temperature reaches 39 degrees at times. Per pediatrician s advice, I had her undergo blood tests for the following:1. CBC and Quantitative Platelet Count 2. ESR 3. CRP 4. Typhoid and dengue tests 5. Blood c/s all results are within normal range except ESR of 36 (normal 0-10) and Low Lymphocyte count of 25 (nomal range 29-49) what could be the cause of my child s fever? He has a semblance of strawberry tongue but not too much

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If blood culture and blood tests are normal then other causes are allergies, or vitamin deficiency. Also do ASO titre, and throat swab. According to blood reports, it's suggestive of viral infections. Take symptomatic treatment and do tests mentioned!

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
