What Does This Blood Test Result For Fever Indicate?
my blood report test reads Salmonella typhi O 1.80. S typhi H 1.40, S typhi AH, 1.20 and HB 1.20. The test report was dated 10th Aug 2015. I still have the fever ranging 97 - 98 degree all days. What is the cause and why does not the fever reduce. Is it normal or serious. Please reply I am worried. I am aged 45 years.
Based on your lab results for salmonella typhi you shouldn't worry because these value are normal (negative for S.Typhi). Related to your fever, you should know that ranging 97-98 degree is a normal value of the body and not a high temperature. I think you should be calm and absolutely not to worry about these value of S.typhi and the normal fever of your body.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Monika Dede, Infectious Diseases Specialist
