What Does This Brain MRI Report Indicate?
Hi Doc, My son aged 23, presently a university student had intense headache at the back while he was doing pressup in a gymnasium. Had the same problem a week later. Had a brain MRI which showed a giant cisterna magna. Doctor says this is not related to headaches and that no treatment is required. Could you enlighten me on the issue please. Shahid

I really appreciate your concern, here is two queries you have before one in headache and second would be brain condition of big cisterna magna, first the headache could be functional one and may not be due to any disease, second cisterna magna is anatomical structure and this is not indication of any disease no matter how big it is, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
