What Does This Brain MRI Test Result For Loss Of Hearing Indicate?
My MRI shows stable appearing abnormal signal in thge inferior right mastoid air cells probably due to remote chronic inflammatory disease . What does this mean? Does that have to do with loss of hearing in right ear? I wonder where the remote chronic inflammatory disease is - possibly in sinus? Thanks!!
Your brain MRI report is indicative of inflammatory disease of the middle ear, it can be infection of the sinus behind the middle ear. It generally occurs when ear issues are neglected and are left untreated. However, the MRI report should be clinically related to get the best treatment. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT and get treated at the earliest. Your treatment will depend on your clinical condition and pathology detected.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
