What Does This Chemical Allergy Test Result For Rash In Abdomen And Legs Indicate?

I have been using the Gold Gym Waist trimmer x 3 yrs. I am having a real bad rash in my legs and abdomen. This past week I went to the dermatologist and I had a chemical allergy test done which it was + for Gold Sodium Thiosulfate. I don t wear gold jewelry and I don t have any gold plated in my body. Can you explain this to me? I am confused!!

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of rash in abdomen and legs indicate which could be due to hormonal disturbances , contact dermatitis , psoriasis and allergic reaction of body. It could be due to compromised immunity of body which is making you prone to infections. Need not to worry. Sometimes sweat in gym can also cause such rashes , take anti histamine like benadryl twice a day . I would suggest you to visit dermatologist once and get it examined. You should go for patch test for allergic reaction. Start treatment after proper examination and diagnosis. Avoid intake of oily and fast food. You should not touch and prick them. Drink plenty of water. Till then apply topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream, twice daily at affected sites for 7- 10 days
