What Does This Chest CT Scan For Pain In Right Side Of Rib Area Indicate?
I have been having pain on my right side(rib area) for about 2 months. It sometimes catches my breath like plurasy. I had a ct scan and bone scan done and the results are talking about calcified granuloma in my right lung. They did not find any fracture in the ribs. they also mention old granulomatous disease in the calcified hilar nodes. Could this be the cause of my pain? Also have Anterior osteophytes
Hi, the pain caused by a granuloma its very rare, and is the most common reason that are not clinically diagnosed. However, granulomas may indicate ancient lung condition like tuberculosis that they are common in immunocompromised patients. Your pain may be related to herpes zóster , and requiere antiviral medicine to alleviate or cure it. Sometime you appear vesicles on the skin...There are laboratory tests to confirmó the diagnosis.
