What Does This Chest CT Scan Test Result Indicate?

For three years now, I have been dealing with serious vascular issues, whIch my doctor has taken a wait and see position on. Now all of a sudden and after lower Doppler blood flow study on my lower limbs as well as CT Scan with Contrast Dye TO CHEST (anueryms on ascending and descending Aorta), the major concern has shifted to the Right lower limb suffering from diminished oxegenated blood to the foot due to blockage in the upper femural Artery which will require surgery, what does this entail??!!

Hi,

You have aneurysm of aorta that means the artery is dilated in this part and the blood supplied by it is compromised this is the reason the blood supply to the lower limb is less. You may need to consult cardiac surgeon as soon as possible and get a repair surgery.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
