Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This Chest CT Scan Test Result Indicate?
Hi I had CT chest calcium completed last week. They found a 3.5mm noncalcified nodular density in the left lower lobe. They also said I had a vague area of radiodensity on the scout view in the right perihilar region which was outside the imaging volume of the CT images? I am a nonsmoker and I have never smoked. I grew up around 2nd hand smoke all of my childhood until I graduated high school but have not been around it since. Should I be worried?
Vague area of radiodensity in the peri-hilar region could be due to a growth. I suggest you consult your pulmonologist for clinical assessment and bronchoscopy to assess the lesion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
