What Does This Chest X-ray Report Indicate?

There are fibrohazed densities in both upper lungs.Heart is normal in size.Aorta is unremarkable.Hemidiaphragms and visualized bones are intack.Both costophrenic sulci are blunted.impression :finding suggestive of PTB bilateral,consider pleural thickening and or minimal fluid collection,bilateral.hi, this is my father xray result... he dont smoke too... hes normal... negative on sputum test, but we are little worried, is he need some medication? the result was already forwarded to hospital, but we cant wait to know if what this result means? hoping for an answer,,,, thank you...

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern for your father.
Chest X-ray picture showing fibrohazed densities in both upper lungs is an indicative of pulmonary tuberculosis, although sputum is tested negative.
Since there is a mention of pleural thickening and minimal fluid collection, it indicates that there is active reaction taking place to fight the infection.
He needs to take complete course of treatment for this so that he will be completely cured of his illness.
If left alone, he might develop complications, which might be difficult to be treated later.
Kindly consult Pulmonologist in this regard for proper advise and management.
