I recently had a chest x-ray. What does this mean.....findings: The cardiac silhouette and pulmonary vascularity are within the upper limits of normal. Prior right basilar opacity has resolved. There is mild elevation of the right hemidiaphragm. No new consolidation, pleural effusion, or pneumothorax is identified. Right apical pleural-parenchymal scarring is similar in appearance. Thoracic spine degenerative changes are present. I had a brother that passed away with lung cancer and this concerns me. Should I be concerned?

thoracic spine degenerative changes are age specific ..if you have bony or joint pains get your calcium and vit d level ...otherwise there is no risk of lung cancer as chest xray is normal ...you should avoid smoking and air pollution these two are biggest cause of lung cancer
