Hi
I had read your question and appreciate your concern.
I ll tell you about the x-ray report , point by point.
(1) Bronchiovascular markings in the lungs are nothing but the normal marking of the blood vessels of the lungs. These marking are increased in the case of any infection or inflammation. In chronic bronchitis markings are increased.
(2) Bilateral hilar congestion is a very non-specific finding, and it depends on the clinical scenario. If
shortness of breath is seen together with this finding it could mean there is an early
pulmonary oedema (water in lungs) or a cardiac problem.
(3)Calcification foci means the condition is benign. However , fibrotic bands are seen various conditions like
Tuberculosis ,
Eosinophilic granuloma , Sarcoidosis , Silicosis , Extrinsic
Allergic Alveolitis.
Rest of the finding are normal.
I hope this information was of help.
Wish your mother good health.
Thankyou.
