Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hazy opacities are seen on the left lung. Impression: PTB LEFT LUNG. What does it mean? i have a history of PTB way back 1989. but was already cured when I took medicine for 6 months. After that I had my Chest x-ray then the doctor said its clear already. But when i had my Chest xray yesterday, that was the result.
You have a history of pulmonary TB. Your chest X – ray is showing hazy opacity which may indicate old TB lesion. But you have not mentioned about your current status of your health. Are you having symptoms of lung TB such as fever, cough, night’s sweats or blood in sputum?? If yes then immediately consult your doctor as it might be recurrence of TB. If you have not any symptom then relax as the hazy opacity is most probably due to old healed TB lesion. Take nutritious food rich in vitamins and protein such as egg, meat, green vegetables, cheese etc. Maintaining good nutrition is very important to prevent recurrence of TB. Thanks
