Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doc. My son had an X-ray don for his lungs. The x-ray shows nodular densities are noted in the perihilar area. Heart is not enlarges. Both Hemi-diaphragms, costophrenic sinus, soft tissues and visualized Ossetia structures are intact Impression: Primary Infection What shall we do. I just need a second opinion on this. Thank you so much.
Densities on an x-ray film represent different causes, but these are to be correlated with what your son is experiencing right now. Let's say he has been coughing for a while now with fever and poor appetite. This presentation is typical of pneumonia, which is an infection of the lungs, and would show densities in an x-ray film.
X-ray findings are to be compared with the patient's symptoms and signs for a correct diagnosis of a disease entity.
I hope he is doing fine, and I suggest a consult with a Doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Daryl Derick B. Dizon, General & Family Physician
