Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM
Your report suggests suspicious lesions in right apical region. It may be due to active infection or mass.
It is difficult to determine low grade infection present inside the lesion.
Apico-lordotic view is a special view and it is is needed to properly visualize apical areas of lungs because apical areas are covered by many bony structures like
clavicle,ribs.
Its is generally advised in conditions if there is some doubtful lesion in apical region. It is important to rule out infective etiology.
It may be due to
pneumonia ,T.B or mass.
You need further tests to confirm
tuberculosis.You need routine hemogram,
mantoux test.PCR can be done if needed.PCR will confirm tuberculosis.
If it is indicative of mass then
CT scan of thorax should be done.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.
Hope i have answered your query.
Take Care
