Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Abnormal blood work and shadow of fat around the heart probably suggest atherosclerosis.
Atherosclerosis is a condition where there is deposition of fat and is associated with abnormal blood tests like high level of abnormal lipid profile, high level of homocysteine, high lipoprotein a etc,
Fat band around heart could be due to atherosclerosis.
I suggest you to consult a cardiologist for further work up and thus management.

Thanks and take care
