What Does This Colonoscopic Report For Suspected Colon Cancer Indicate?

Mr. Brown, an 86-year-old patient with suspected colon cancer, underwent a colonoscopy. A large mass was found 12 centimeters proximal to the splenic flexure. Which part of the colon is this located in? Trace the route of the colonoscope to the location of the mass.

The report indicates that the person has a large mass in the transverse part of the colon(large intestine) about 12 cms prior to the splenic flexure(The bend between transverse and descending colon).

The route is Anus-----rectum-----sigmoid colon------descending colon-----splenic flexure-----transverse colon----mass.
