Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Mu husband had a colonoscopy today. Flat adenoma was tattooed and biopsied in the transverse colon. Descending colon was granuar, erethematous and ulcerated. Excessive bile was also noted and difficult to clear from the colon. He has PSC x 11 years with a common bile duct stricture that has recently been balloon dilated. Cytology brushings and FISH test were negative for malignancy in April of 2015. Wondering if this is colon CA? I read that the flat lesions are more prone to be cancerous. I am a RN and realistic that with his PSC and colon CA was a possibility to be developed. I just want to have an idea about the adenoma. He has lost 14 lbs in the past few months. He had been dieting though.
