Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This Diastolic Reading For Dizziness And Nausea Indicate?
I am 61 years old and not on any medication. I ve had spates of dizzyness nausea and spining room etc. plus numbness in my face. I have checked my pressure each time I have a dizzy bought and the sistolic pressure ranges from 102 to 136 although more normaly around 110. BUT my diastolic pressure is dragging around 52 -62 and I suspect this is the issue. What causes it and how to fix it without drugs
Thank you for your query your diastolic blood pressure is a little low. If you could clarify a few points, I could help you better
Your symptoms, do they occur specifically at any time or during a certain activity? Does it occur after meals or while you stand from a lying down or sitting position? Do you have any tremors( twitching in the muscles)? Have you had any blood work to check for anemia , thyroid function or and ECG/Echocardiogram to check your heart functions?
do you have any neck or back pain? I would recommend blood work for ruling out anemia, thyroid problems, evaluation of sugar and lipid levels. A cardiac(heart) and neural ( nerves and brain) examination is required to evaluate your symptoms.
hope this helps wish you good health
