What Does This Endoscopy Report Indicate?

I just had a Upper GI Endoscopy. The findings are: Tortuous Esophagus. Z-line irregular, 35 cm from the incisors. Biopsied. Erythematous mucosa in the antrum. Biopsied. What do all this mean. Have been on Nexium and Carapace, so why am I going through pain in my back.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.

This means that there is gastritis and esophagitis with inflammation of mucosa. biopsy is take to rule out tumors and precancerous lesions which is not probable but must be excluded. Your back pain may or may not be related to this endoscopy finding and if there I'd no improvement on therapy, you should check pancreas.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
