What Does This Endoscopy Report Indicate?

Hi. I just had an endoscopy and the pics I was sent home with Show tiny white spots in many parts of my stomach and duodenum, what could those be from? Also, there is a large white tissue spot on the pic that says cardia. What could that be? Dr took several biopsies but I won t know results for 2 weeks so just curious Thx Dana

Hi,

This should not worry you by white spots. That is normal in endoscopic picture. The main problem is when there is redness of the mucosa or an eridions and definite ulcer. Yes histology take a bit of time because need along process of tissue processing, embedding, Microtomy, staining, mounting. This is what takes time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
