General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The kidneys have been mildly affected by the VUR but kidney damage isn't such that needs dialysis support etc and can be stopped here by correcting the reflux surgically and close liaison to urologist needs to be done repeatedly.

Renal replacement therapy may be started with calcium and phosphate adjusting medications as well as epokine or iron for blood levels.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
