What Does This Following Lab Report Indicate?

Hi Dr Andrew, my daughter who is turning 7 years old next month weighs 105lbs. Her ALT- is 103 and AST is 45. ALP is 223. He had her lab work just last week and it worried me. We went to the doctor for follow up but the doctor did not recommend any medication. He advise to loose weight and strict diet. So with that high laboratory reading, is there really NO NEED for my daughter?? Please help. Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think she may also get tested for hepatitis A and B which can alter those tests.
Losing weight and keeping a low carbohydrates low-fat diet is advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
