What Does This Histopathology After Operation Indicate?

my wife is suffering from colon cancer .she has been operated very recently at mumbai on 9/11/2011.

result of histopathology after operation as follows

a) transe desmoplastic stroma

verse colon - moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma

tumour size -3 .5 cm

duke stage -B2

it indicates that the surgery has been able to completely remove the cancer tissues from your wife's body, as per the tissue examined!

it is a relatively good report however, follow-up CT scan or PET-CT should be done time to time as small metastatic disease could not be excluded!

all the best while visiting the surgeon next time!
