Hi the Histopathology report of my sister shows Fragments of villous duodenal mucoa shows mild lymphoplasmacytic infiiltrate in lamina propria. Their is no evidence of atrophy, Hpylori or malignancy. Please explain what does it mean anything to worry
The histopathology report of the lining of the small intestine shows mild inflammation. Since there is no atrophy H.pylori or malignancy it may not be a cause of concern. However, I would suggest you follow up with a gastroenterologist if there are any associated symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Preeti Jolly, Endocrinologist
