What Does This Hysterosalpingography Report Indicate?

hi doctor.... myself undergone hsg test normal uterus, patent tube on right side, free peritoneal spill seen on right side.... but left tube appear partly opacified, no demonstrable peritoneal spill on left side..... pls explain me doctor.... anyone pls

Thanks for your query.

Hysterosalpingography is the test done to study the shape of the uterine cavity and patency of the fallopian tubes.

On the right side the tube appears to be normal as indicated by free spillage of the dye.

However, on the left side the tube is blocked as there is no spillage of the dye on left side.

In view of the above I advise you to consult a gynecologist for the treatment
which will be re-canalization or dilatation of the left tube.

And if there is underlying cause responsible for this block like tuberculosis if present should also be treated accordingly.
