What Does This Lab Report Indicate?

what s your take on my films: FINDINGS: The visualized lower lung zones appear clear, representing resolution of the lower lobe dependent atelectasis. The craniocaudad dimension of the liver measures 198 mm. Upper lobe left renal cyst, 4.7 mm.The liver, spleen, pancreas, adrenals and kidneys otherwise appear within normal limits. Normal renal function is demonstrated. No intraabdominal mass, collection, or adenopathy is seen. Midline rectus abdominous diastases stable. Tiny umbilical hernia without bowel involvement stable. Swirly configuration of the midabdominal mesentery consistent with a small bowel volvulus unchanged, without obstruction. Malrotation of the large intestine, also stable, cecum residing in the left lower abdomen, adjacent to the sigmoid colon. Gallbladder by CT criteria, as well as the appendix, within normal limits Imaging of the pelvis demonstrates no mass, collection or adenopathy. Status post hysterectomy stable. What appears to be a slightly complex left ovarian cyst, residing quite a distance from the expected location, is noted, measuring 4.13 cm, with an internal daughter cyst, 1.82 cm. This has increased, and, alternatively may represent a mesenteric cyst but this is felt to be less likely. There is a small right ovarian cyst with septation, 1.93 cm. IMPRESSION: 1. Malrotated large bowel, cecum residing the left lower abdomen. 2. Small intestinal volvulus without obstruction, also stable. 3. Diastases rectus abdominis muscle, and small umbilical hernia without bowel involvement, both stable. 4. Interval resolution of the dependent lower lobe atelectasis. 5. Moderate to marked hepatomegaly without focal abnormality. Stable. 6. Stable small upper pole left renal cyst. 7. Status post hysterectomy unchanged. 8. What appears to represent a prominent left ovarian cyst, with an internal daughter cyst, noted, increased in size. The possibility of this representing a mesenteric cyst is felt to be less likely. Small cyst septated right ovarian cyst felt to be stable. 9. Otherwise unremarkable contrast CT imaging of the abdomen and pelvis.

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

The report findings are almost normal, nothing to worry. You need to periodically get scanned to see that both ovarian cysts size regularly mainly every year. That would be sufficient if you don't have any symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sri Prabha, Oncologist
